1. The service
TutorOne provides software for managing a tuition centre: attendance, fee collection and invoicing, assignments, online tests, progress reports, a parent portal and related features.
TutorOne is currently in beta. That means the service is provided free of charge, features are being added and changed, and while we work hard to keep it reliable, you should not treat it as your only record of critical financial data during this period. Export regularly — the tools are built in.
2. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for the activity of the staff accounts you create. Tell us promptly if you believe an account has been compromised.
You must provide accurate information and be legally capable of entering into this agreement on behalf of your centre.
3. Your data belongs to you
You retain all rights to the data you enter — your students, your records, your content. We claim no ownership of it.
We process it only to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can export it at any time, and you can delete your account and have it removed.
4. Your responsibilities regarding student data
You are responsible for having a lawful basis to collect and store information about your students and their parents, including obtaining consent from parents or guardians where required.
You must not use TutorOne to store data you have no right to hold, and you must keep your staff's access appropriate to their role.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- •Use TutorOne for anything unlawful, or to harass or harm anyone.
- •Attempt to breach our security, access other centres' data, or disrupt the service.
- •Resell or white-label the service without a written agreement with us.
- •Reverse engineer the software or attempt to extract source code.
- •Upload malware, or content that infringes someone else's rights.
6. Payments and subscriptions
While TutorOne is in beta, the service is free and no payment details are required.
When paid plans begin, prices will be published on our pricing page. Subscriptions renew automatically for the period you choose until cancelled, and you can cancel at any time from your account settings — cancellation stops future charges and takes effect at the end of your current period.
Payments are processed by Razorpay. Payment gateway charges applicable to money your parents pay you are set by Razorpay, not by us. TutorOne takes no commission on the fees you collect.
We will give existing subscribers at least 30 days' notice by email before any price increase affecting them.
7. Availability and support
We aim to keep TutorOne available and reliable, but we do not offer a contractual uptime guarantee during beta. Planned maintenance will be announced where practical.
Support is provided by email at support@tutorone.in. During beta, support is best-effort — usually same-day, from the person who built the feature you are asking about.
8. Suspension and termination
You may stop using TutorOne and delete your account at any time.
We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, that puts other users at risk, or where required by law. Except in cases of serious abuse, we will contact you first and give you an opportunity to export your data.
9. Liability
TutorOne is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost revenue or lost data, arising from your use of the service.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim — which, during beta, is zero. This is precisely why you should keep your own exports of financial records.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of CITY, STATE have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
